Faircrest Heights is primarily a middle-class area with a very diverse make-up. The housing stock is predominantly Spanish-Colonial and Traditional single family homes, with some small income properties (mostly in the areas north of Pickford Street). Faircrest Heights homes were predominantly built between 1920’s and 1940’s, and therefore, the home, and neighborhood reflect the character of that period. Faircrest Heights, as many of the surrounding neighborhoods, is known for the Character Spanish Mediterranean style of it’s homes.
Faircrest Heights is also known as the home of one of the top 100 schools in the nation (source: Newsweek), Los Angeles Center for Enriched Studies, aka, LACES. This school is widely regarded as one of the top magnet schools, not only in LA, but California.
